Let's start with a little background. I have known Barbara for years. She and I used to go to church together back when we were teens. (Man am I getting old) Anyway I have had the privilege to know Barbara as well as her family. (They are awesome BTW) I got the change to meet Darren in passing, but I could see he was a good guy. Fast forward a little, and I keep running into Barb and Darren at the local meet up place. (aka Walmart) About a year ago My family and I were at the meet up place and Barbara started talking to me about capturing their day, and when they finalized it they would let me know. Well that they did and they invited my wife and I to come with them for their destination wedding at Azul Beach in Cancun, Mexico. It was my first destination wedding and I was excited. We talked, planned, and made sure we kept a lot of open communication to make sure we are all constantly on the same page with all the details.

Fast forward to 3 am, the day our flight was supposed to leave, my wife and I get an email that no one wants to see.......Your flight has been cancelled. My wife immediately got on the phone and I reached out to the couple to let them know what happened. At this time we are both down on sorts. The best flight they said they could do would get us there the day of the ceremony, landing and hour before it started. We prayed and my wife stayed on the phone for an hour and was able to find us a flight, that would get us there in time for all of the festivities that the couple planned as well as the ceremony. When we arrived, we had an awesome time going on an an outing the couple prepared for friends and family who were able to make the trip to help them celebrate. It was great people who genuinely care for them able to celebrate with them. The next day was the wedding, and while it did rain and change the location of things, the couple still smiled and enjoyed the day. Weather on a wedding day pales in comparison to spending a lifetime with the one you love. These are just a few images from the day.
